I <3 Art Nouveau. A lot. It's one of my favorite artistic movements, and every now and then I look it up for inspiration.

This paticular painting was made for my mom for mother's day. She's always supported my art, and has several pictures in my gallery up on her walls. It's a 4x6 watercolor painting, and the inkwork was done with brown microns.

I had a lot of fun doing this picture, and I think it's the best thing I've done so far. Like usual, there's certain subtleties of color that the scanner screws up. I think I've finally started grasping practical use of watercolor with my complementary-glaze technique. I've not seen anyone else do this way of painting, so I think I might have to do a tutorial at some point. No promises though, as I am super lazy.
