Ugh. Man, where to start. This piece crawled out of my head rather forcefully today. It was around the time I woke up that a lot of stuff condensed in my head to create this. I got home and started working on this thing. Right now it's about 6 am, and I am exhausted.

I want to thank Dark Aldebaran, whomever wrote the stuff on the Puzzlebox wiki about the Strange, who ever made such a place to start with, and TehSean. Oh, and whoever invented gasmasks.

It's watercolor, marker, gouache, glow in the dark paint (all the parts colored cherenkov blue glow in the dark), and acrylic. 4x6 on canson watercolor block.

*flops over and dies*

Cool pic. I like the dark colors, the background, and the pose. Looks like art for an alien race out of a Star Control game...

freakin' awesome, man. you know, this strikes me in a really weird way... kind of a crazy abstract place, but not like the wyld. more modern, i suppose. that may not be right, but yeah...

Actually, this is heavily inspired by what I read about on the puzzlebox wiki about The Strange, one of the six major areas of the infinite space that makes up the place. The strange is a place where everything is upside down and full of biometal viral contagion; where the dead walk and people give visitors a dismembering like we would give handshakes.
